Un-waxing tips for cleaning your carpet

It is not always appropriate to leave candle wax on your carpets until a house cleaning day. These, like any other stain, can be effectively dealt with immediately they are spilt on the carpet. With the help of a carpet pick, you can gently scrape off the candle wax from the carpet. You can otherwise use a comb or a fork taking adequate care not to have your carpet’s fabric damaged. If the carpet is made of loops make sure that you do not pull on any loops or you may end up destroying the fabric of the carpet in your process. This can be done during house cleaning if any candle wax was not removed promptly.
After the initial wax removal process, you can do a heat transfer so as not to have your carpet half way cleaned during house cleaning. This is done with the help of an iron box, a cardboard, white or brown paper, and a terry clothe towel. Damp the towel and put the iron on its lowest heat setting. Put the piece of paper above the wax and the towel on top of the paper. After this, iron the towel in a circular motion on the wax spot so as to have the wax melting up and attaching itself onto the paper. This should be done with great precaution not to apply too much heat on the carpet as it may damage its fibres. All the wax on your carpet may be removed by just one sheet of paper. Failure of this calls for a little more patience with the house cleaning. Use as many sheets of paper as necessary to clear all the wax on the carpet.
Due to the colours which the candle may be having and that could stain your carpet, you may require an added spot cleaning solution during your house cleaning; so as to be sure to have all the wax colours out. It is important to ensure that you do not stain your carpet, because what you are working towards is to have your carpet colours back and the ugly wax stain out.
Also very appropriate is to know the effects which the cleaning solution would have on your carpet. Have it tested on a piece of material so as to be sure it would not stain your carpet or have it bleached in the process. You can do this by applying the chemical on a piece of material and waiting for about ten minutes. If no adverse reaction are seen on the material then you can use the chemical for un-waxing during your house cleaning. Always use chemicals whose effects on your carpet are well known to you.

Candles are commonly used in the homes. This makes candle wax a common thing on carpets. House cleaning just important to know how to get these off the surface of your carpet every time you are conducting a house cleaning.
